I've never been up on Crib Goch before when it has been so windy and yet sunny at the same time. Not only that but we had the clouds blasting right at us which looked really cool and at times quite surreal. Loads of fun! We set off expecting wind, rain and mist all day but instead got incredible views and unique conditions, plus we had the whole ridge to ourselves because no one else had thought that Crib Goch looked appealing that day. Who dares wins!
Crib Goch In Very Strong Wind: The Perfect Family Day Out (September 2018)
Here's a bonus video of another time I crossed Crib Goch in very strong wind. The views were non-existent and it was a bit wet, so nowhere near as good as the above video. The previous day I had been leading two clients along the ridge and the weather had been perfect. 24 hours later and it's blowing a gale. But hey, it's Crib Goch! So it's always a great scramble, whatever the weather!
